I’m not sure if we ever really had a standing commitment to be decent to one another, but it sure feels wrong when we have politicians and businesspeople that get to unilaterally decide to uproot and destabilize thousands of lives and then have the audacity to say “just trust us on this”

This whole ordeal with the federal grants freeze is straight out of the abusers playbook. Hold some thing important over someone else’s head to illicit the desired response. After the response is noted, stop the behavior, then pretend the responder is crazy for having reacted in that way.

It’s really hard for me to articulate how I think that sharing rage bait articles and short clips of trump and his ilk is hurtful more than it is helpful without sounding hypocritical. I say hypocritical because I am not immune to the rage/click bait and get caught up in my feelings about it too.
