Pretty excited to give a talk at Ithaca this Friday, which I will be doing a slightly different version of at Game Sound Con in October!
The title slide for a talk Dana is giving at Ithaca and Game Sound Con this year: "To Smother Your Furies and Banish Your Fears..." Trauma, Psychosis, and Empathetic Engagement in the Music of the Hellblade Games. Below the title is Dana's name, email address (DanaMPlank@gmail.com) and affiliation (Editor in Chief, the Journal of Sound and Music in Games). The background of the slide is black with gray runic text and a close up of Senua's face is on the right side, a Pict warrior with blue face paint over her forehead and eyes and a stripe extending down from her bottom lip to the bottom of her chin. She has pale skin and blue eyes, and a leather head band with a blue gem in the middle.

You can catch my voice in various moments of the soundtrack, but one of my favorites is the very first track “Under the Tree of Light.” youtu.be/JL5LwY0d8es?...

Tonight 9-11pm at twitch.tv/bardicknowledge we are finishing Sea of Stars DLC + starting Clair Obscur with special guest @asptheory.bsky.social. I am going for a stereotypically French outfit; I ended up essentially closet cosplaying. Join us tonight for baguettes, brie, wine, and my accordions!
Dana a brown eyed brunette in a black and white horizontal striped tee, black suspenders, a red neck scarf, red lipstick, winged black eyeliner, black round frame glasses and a vintage red pillbox hat that reads as a beret An image from Clair Obscur of a woman with medium length black hair and red lipstick, dressed in a sleeveless black and white striped top with black suspenders, a red neck scarf, big red sunglasses, a red beret, and a piece of red gingham tied around the shoulder and across the chest to hold a baguette on her back

That said, there are absolutely edge cases at JSMG re: early video game graphics captures, where the DPI might read too small but the image actually scales beautifully and doesn't look grainy, so our typesetters might still take something that's not technically to spec.
musicologess.bsky.social
Different publications have different standards, so I don't have one go-to. Are you looking for a DPI, for example? JSMG asks for 300dpi minimum for a 5-inch image, maximum of 1200dpi, which I can find out with a right click on the image file.

My gig outfit game is very strong (it helps that a lot of them don't insist on strict concert black; I've had some couples tell me color schemes to work in pops of color etc.). Some of my favorite looks and uncanny matches with wedding decor:
musicologess.bsky.social
PS I did a wedding at the natural history museum a couple weeks ago where the bride walked to the Jurassic Park theme so you KNOW I had to add some dinosaurs to the gig ensemble. I made a fascinator with deep green velvet flocked and coppery brown ferns and hot glued some tiny dinosaur toys onto it.
Dana (brunette, brown eyes with dark green and copper eyeshadow and winged black eyeliner, dark green cat eye glasses, red lipstick) wearing a black sleeveless dress, a necklace with a small green apatosaurus toy dangling from it like a pendant, and a homemade fascinator with faux deep green and copper brown ferns and small dinosaur toys got glued to the foliage including a t-rex, triceratops, pterodactyl, and another apatosaurus.
