I def agree that that’d be a terrible motivation hahahaha. Though even if Fisher were alive today I think I’d prefer Leia and Holdo’s roles to be swapped. I think 7, 8, & 9 wouldve been better if they set up something new rather than reopening and wrapping up 1-6 again

Oh! Plus they already had CGI Leia in Rogue One which released 11 days before she died? Weird. I guess that got me used to post-Fisher Star Wars so Ep.8 felt extra weird as a look back in time kinda lmao

Ahh never looked up the exact timeline. Principal photography wrapped in July 2016, Fisher died December 2016, then Ep.8 came out December 2017. They killed Han in 7 so a year after she died I remembered going to theaters thinking “How are they wrapping her story up?”

All the problems with the Star Wars sequels were like this. Why didn’t they do more with Phasma and Snoke? What did Finn have to tell Rey? Why did they kill the cool new character Admiral Holdo instead of Leia when Carrie Fisher had already passed? Maybe the critique is changing direction too much?

Not my area, but you should definitely set up a meeting with an employment law attorney. Even if you were supposed to be an at-will employee, language in the handbook or communications to you can convert you to “for cause” employment
