(3/3)also hollowknight isnt exactly a stranger to late game content. for example there are some charms you will reasonable get late game on a first playthrough. also theres things like grimm unlockables which will usually be unlocked late into a run anyway so i dont see what ure saying as a big deal

(2/3) and then now that save file doesnt work. if you look at it from the aspect that act 3 is a fun secret rewarded to those who are trying to 100% the game the choice becomes a lot more reasonable. also the quest really arent the hardest thing in the world tho they can be tedious which does suck

(1/3) you have to remember that act 3 literally changes the entire map and is a huge plot point. if you dont do all of those things then progressing early would literally make content inaccessible. imagine wanting to 100% the game but you cant and you realize that you forgot to do a random quest
