Added back again this morning 🙃

Probably the first time in a long time Haaland is under 50% though, no?

DCL coming on for Saka…
What a start to the GW 😭
January 31, 2026 at 3:24 PM
Ha! Fair enough 🙂
Good luck mate!

I see what you’re saying and yeah, I agree with you. Taking hits every 3-4 weeks is neither sustainable nor taking you to top 10k.
But let’s say you plan hits every 8 GW: you’d essentially be buying yourself one additional move and “cover” the -4 pts over 8 weeks! I find this very intriguing! 😃

😂😂

I guess the idea that was tested here was to proactively take “strategic” hits to (maybe) gain some advantage - and avoid finding ourselves in a bad situation.
Not viable in your opinion?
January 31, 2026 at 12:35 PM
Yeah I find that most of those who said they’ve used hits are simply way of playing extra aggressive after a poor start. A risky, but apparently “can-be-efficient” way to catch up!
January 31, 2026 at 12:13 PM
Wow, ok! You’re playing at hard level 😆
January 31, 2026 at 12:10 PM
Yeah I get that. And the two wildcards, the two free hits, transfers that can be rolled til after chips are played…
Definitely sth I’d like to explore tho, if the opportunity comes this season
January 31, 2026 at 12:03 PM
Woow seriously?? That’s a whole part of the game I was not seeing! 🤯
January 31, 2026 at 12:02 PM
😲
January 31, 2026 at 11:57 AM
That’s amazing! I had never truly really realised it was possible to take hits AND end up with elite OR.
But yeah, in the end, the transfer decision is what counts, more than the hit itself. The captaincy also mitigates the hit, clearly.
January 31, 2026 at 11:47 AM
And I’m glad to learn that some players are far from being as afraid of them as I’ve been so far! Definitely an aggressive approach, but yet another way to play the game I never really thought of.
January 31, 2026 at 11:41 AM
Ha, you’re right to question the source as those “studies” are hard to come by!
Tbh reading this was very intriguing to me as radically different from the common messaging around hits. As I’m still learning the game and discovering the community around it, I was very curious what everyone thought!
January 31, 2026 at 11:41 AM
Yeah, exactly this. It’s an approach I had rarely seen before though, and not something I’ve learned doing. Will definitely expand my understanding of the game and how I approach transfers and chips!
January 31, 2026 at 11:35 AM
Quite a few strikers scored against Spurs in recent matches though. Where does that rumour come from?
January 31, 2026 at 11:09 AM
Wow triple Sunderland defence is wild! Aren’t you seriously not going to play it? 😈
January 31, 2026 at 11:08 AM
Yeah that makes a lot of sense tbf. We’re probably always subject to hearing what the “right” or “optimal” transfers are. But yeah, in the end we choose the 11 numbers on our lottery ticket every week and can only hope for the best. I like how you see hits as a means to increase potential gains 🙏
January 31, 2026 at 10:12 AM
Indeed. AFCON top up, rolling up to 5 FTs, two wildcards, two free hits… you’d think we have enough tools to plan transfers right! 😆
January 31, 2026 at 10:01 AM
Fair point. Rolling up to 5 FTs should help avoiding hits. But that would require my transfer planning skills to be far superior than they currently are 😂😭
