So excited to see Don Hertzfeldt's Animation Mixtape this Saturday! Been a big fan of his since I was in like, 10th grade. I remember a teacher at a writing camp I was at showing me Rejected and I was hooked. This will be my first time seeing anything of his in a theater!

I think getting your work out there is more important than views, but we are entering a very weird time for indie where people with more funding are getting more coverage.

This isn't even THEIR fault, it's just shitty media tactics that are bleeding in from the mainstream.

Full disclosure, I'm a dude who's stuff can barely crack 10k and I'm all for celebrating other people's success. I've recommended KoG to nearly everyone I've talked to in the passed couple of days.

That being said, are we REALLY going to gamify the indie space with stuff like this? 1/2

After nearly 10 years removed from air, it looks like WNYU.org got rid of their old archives. Sad that my history as a DJ is pretty much gone. Maybe they'll return some day, but interviews I did with some of my musical heroes and indie acts are erased.
