At first sight thought this will be easy as there'll be so few to pick from but my 'short list' currently stands at 24... And counting. Having seen them play it live on their 20th anniversary tour this will be a contender. Joyous from start to finish.

Brian Wilson. No!! Glastonbury 2005? I pushed to the front to see him at the Pyramid stage; there was a lull between songs when for some reason he looked over at me. I shouted 'I love you Brian'. He smiled, nodded and said 'thank you very much'. Goodnight and thanks for your always excellent company

Fabulous to see the Flaming Lips again after a 2 decade hiatus. Wayne is still a lovable batshit crazy hippy. The usual shenanigans of balloons, confetti and mascots were great fun. The musical highlights of Do you realize and race for the Prize were genuinely tear jerking and euphoric.

Primal Scream at the Hammersmith Apollo were very loud and a revelation this week. Disco meets shoegaze meets rock n roll. A powerhouse performance!
