I know they paid the salary of Matt Brounley He was overseeing the outreach program funded by NEH. I spoke with him personally as was going to be involved with it at one point.

Also, it's my understanding that the Program Committee already met with the Board. The memo that is linked here is from July, so it seems outdated.

For example, some of the salaries of employees were paid for by the NEH grants. They did not come from the Society itself.
