My 15yo read 1984 last semester. Every now and then something will happen in the news and they say "this is literally 1984." Usually it's a bit of a stretch. But today, the government is telling us to reject the evidence of our eyes and ears. You're right, kid. It's literally 1984.

I like to watch shows or movies I've already seen while I make dinner. So I can have a little distraction but I won't be actively watching. I'm getting a little tired of my go-tos.

It's 60° here. This time of year it's usually in the 40s, maybe down to the 20s. So to get in the Christmas spirit I'm watching Hawkeye. Maybe Die Hard after that.

Got my covid booster yesterday, finally. I hate them. I barely slept last night between chills and overheating. Got up twice to take Tylenol (yes! Tylenol!). The nerve damage in my finger started acting up. I'm exhausted and miserable, but I would still rather do this than get actual covid again.

I can't get an endoscopy until April. 😩 I'm probably going to need hernia surgery, but I won't know for sure until the endoscopy. I'm kind of freaking out learning all the potential complications of reflux. Time to log off for the night.

I am seriously considering an eyebrow piercing, but I think I should wait until after hockey season so the helmet doesn't interfere with it during the healing process.

I really hope the files are his downfall, but I've learned not to be optimistic. At this point I'm hoping the fear and extra stress is more than his body can handle. But I'm not optimistic about that, either.

I had some plumbing work done. Since the estimate last winter, the part's price increased significantly (20% or so) because of the tariffs. The tariff went away, but the higher price remained. Thanks, Trump.
