I used to be 'friends' with someone who was like this to an extreme degree, and would yell at me in vc/while in a group to back off X NPC because they're 'theirs'. For a LONG time it made me never want to share any of my oc x npc stuff. I think it's only through XIV that I found some healing lol

Post-EW/early DT she has come to accept the story told in the form of her aether scarring, and rather than hiding it with glamours or clothing, she has become more comfortable with people seeing the extent of the marks upon her skin.

Aside from the physical aether scarring still present in the form of constellations on her body, the impairment to her vision during the final act of SHB persists in Neriah until post-Elpis in EW. She has since regained full vision, but the scarring remains.
