in my early 20s I felt like I was born at the wrong time & should've been alive in the 60s-70s when radical activism seemed to be at its height

little did I know.....the 2020s were coming with a vengeance

thankful I at least *tried* to prepare for a scenario like this instead of caught off guard

My favorite thing when reading Long Walk to Freedom was that Mandela made me think he was incidental to the struggle- a bystander as a community of people did the real work, and he *happened* to be there. It was the community he joined and helped create, and he was a face. Nothing happens alone

some people say they don't want to hear celebrities/artists opinions on these kinds of topics but I personally want to hear MORE
