Almost done helping with a Baby Belt Pro build for someone, the LDO kit version.

Great design on this thing! Documentation is pretty incomplete though. We printed it entirely out of PHA which, to my knowledge, has never been used for the structural components of a […]

I made myself a tiny cheatsheet for learning Shavian, in Inkscape.

It's loosely based on one I found in the Shavian subreddit, except (probably) much worse than that one. I just really wanted something in a smaller size, for easily carrying around. These are […]

[Misogyny from an old novel]

Book 1 of a series that was formative in my youth. Like most such things, I had to go and ruin it for myself by rereading it... This is easily the least egregious example, don't get me started on all the slurs.

Working on the strap for that bag from a few posts ago, and it's... quite a bit more ponderous than the main part was, lol. I gotta say though, Tunisian flat stitch is as awesome as CrochetKim says it is.

More certified marine biodegradable PHA, printing on a Voron 2.4 with a Galileo 2 extruder. This patron request is a prop for a Halloween costume, specifically it's Hunter's palisman from Owl House. This spool is from Beyond Plastic, who no longer exists, but a few […]

Finally, after YEARS of trial and error failures, today I've made Thicket Beans palatable and not poisonous! I went whole hog, 24 hour soak with 2 changes of salty, alkaline water. Boiling in another change. Pressure cooking after. And then boiling AGAIN. Lastly […]

Building a Baby Belt Pro with my niece! The printed parts will all be made from PHA. If anyone has ever made a printer entirely out of PHA before, they don't seem to have ever posted about it (in English at least). With a sub room temp glass transition, it […]

Just a janky little build montage of our big janky robot arm. Forgive me, I am clearly not a roboticist OR a videographer lol. It's actually a pretty awesome project, but we haven't had the time to fully realize its potential. What we really need to do is […]

These little things apparently hold the wheels onto the library carts. We've lost or broken a few and the replacements sent by the same cart company oddly don't fit, so 3d printing we go! Certified fully marine biodegradable PHA of course. You can get the files […]

So, I planted some American Spikenard years ago despite very little (and conflicting) information online about it's edibility. You can read that it is edible, it's not, it is but tastes horrible, and/or it's tasty. Well finally, I am here to confirm that it is in […]

Making another Tunisian Sampler Purse, one of my boyfriends liked it and wanted their own hehe. Navy blue and grey this time, like their favorite Mecha. Different stitches too.

I just thought this soon-to-be #elderberry syrup looked especially pretty and appealing in this juice phase.

Open source Arctos robot arm build in progress for the makerspace! All 6 joints finally working, just need to finish the endstops, put some end effector on, and do the casing. And clean up the wiring of course... 😅

The birds left us a very generous amount of elderberries this year! Either that or we just had too many for them to possibly eat it all lol. Second year trying to make jam, fingers crossed it doesn't wind up syrup again lol. Added a little agastache and spicebush […]

It's creeping cucumber season here, yayyyyyy! They're tasty little nibbles, look like tiny watermelons but taste like cucumbers. The vine and flowers are really cute too. I bet they must make wonderful pickles, just haven't had time to find out.

Can't describe just HOW EXCITED I am to start printing in this new brand (PHA3Design) of biodegradable pure PHA!! These are composites, each blended with a different interesting type of organic waste material. Supposedly they even smell like what they're mixed with […]

[Creepy monster]

Well, I was experimenting with scrap yarn, trying to find interesting new Tunisian crochet stitches and... I definitely found one. Unfortunately I think I'm gonna have to name it "Cordyceps stitch" 😅

The ball mysteriously disappeared from the Makerspace's trackball. I could have just ordered another, but they use this novelty size pool ball that you can't really get in high quality. So instead, I upgraded it to the Anyball mod for standard American sizes. Case […]

Patron request a 15mm crochet hook, we made it from wood pulp/PHA composite. That said, I've heard this brand Regen has secretly been mixing PLA into their stuff, sadly...

Sneak peak at a WIP, I call it the "Tunisian Sampler Purse" lol. Just an excuse to practice every 2-color in-the-round Tunisian stitch I can find, basically. More details on Ravelry of course.
