The last Tuesday night before Nowruz is the fire-jumping festival also known as Chahar Shanbeh Souri. In the company of fellow blaze-leapers, I beseeched the flames to trade my winter pallor for its crimson glow. Sorkhiye tow az man, zardiyeh man az tow!
