Never, but change the norm. Nothing says you can’t pay a coordinator their worth or bring them close to the HC compensation. League’s about winning, so teams should act like it.

Sometimes pay the offense coordinator (Ben Johnson) more than the HC, put on golden hand cuffs and make them forget about HC opportunities
