Good grief! I really read that all wrong! Our male relatives should be there to protect us. My older brother was almost 9 years older than I. He was my protector. My first marriage was abusive. My second (current and favorite) husband and I dated 5.5 weeks before we got married. My 3 brothers

reason to be suspicious. Who knows? The best thing we can teach our girls is, this kind of behavior from an adult, to a little girl is NOT normal, and there are lots of adults in their lives they can turn to, such as a teacher

We don’t know what goes on behind closed doors. He may have been abusing her mother, leaving her incapable of defending her daughter. Her home life must have been a nightmare. I would look to her teachers to see if they noticed anything in her behavior that might have given them
