6. Fenway is the latest domino to fall as trans-affirming clinics around the country enact restrictions, and states begin to take aim at adult care, too. Like Fenway, many clinics are citing federal or state guidelines. But there is no federal law banning gender-affirming care for trans people.

5. Fenway could try to fight federal attacks on funding—other agencies and institutions who have sued over funding held hostage by Trump have secured legal victories, at least for now. Instead, Fenway chose to comply in advance, which is especially jarring given its largely lower-income clientele.

4. In a public statement, Fenway said it would be “unable to provide medical gender-affirming care (hormones and puberty blockers) for patients under the age of 19” due to recent updates of “federal requirements.”

This is misleading, but here is their statement:

9. This capitulation will be among the most stinging of any healthcare center in the United States. What happens when they next come for PReP, HIV care, reproductive care, and more?

A line must be drawn, and Fenway should have fought back like other clinics.

1. In a major capitulation to Trump, Fenway Health, a center ostensibly dedicated to LGBTQ+ healthcare, has ended its trans care program under 19.

It could have fought for its patients. It chose instead to roll over.

Community members are devastated.

If your dem is not on this list, they either voted for the bill or did not vote. I don't have the official roll call yet, this was just what people noted via voice.

The Senate has just passed the military NDAA containing 2 anti-trans provisions: a surgery ban using federal funds (dependents too), and a sports ban on military academy spaces.

This will be the STARTING point for negotiations with the House, which has even worse provisions.

Only 20 Dems opposed.
