March 2021. Sistine reminiscent. It was a reach that felt so good.

This lamp quickly became a source of inspiration for me. During this time I often used it as a primary light source in my photos and videos. It was a gift from one of my best friends and I thought it was gorgeous. Wrapping up month 2 2021.

I started to play more

In my second month I was so willing to play and fail. I wanted it all and the work benefited from it. February 2021. I wanted to be slimy and glazed in this moment.

In February 2021 I started to play with form a little more. I’m a dancer and wondered how I could use my body as a more interesting subject.

February 2021 brought some changes…

Another from January of 2021. The green was an intentional choice as I was going through some life changes that felt uneasy and “sicky” which manifested through green at the time. I really leaned into self portraiture as a way of journaling.

I got my first real camera in 2021 and have been exploring self photography ever since. These portraits were taken January of that year, it’s fun to look back and see how I saw myself then.
