Season 5 of Law & Order (1994), Det Logan makes a flippant joke re: a possible jumper that he rather “eat a gun” than go into the East River - I’m not gonna say “we don’t talk enough about” but I haven’t talked to y’all enough about how L&O only exists because of the grim jet black humor of 90s NYC.

There shouldn't be a big "unless they are incarcerated" asterisk to the ban on slavery in the US. Incarcerated individuals should be paid for their work.
