About my morning running activities and links to news items which catch my eye.
I find I can only run in the morning these days.
72 years old, married, British
Born at 312. 6 ppm CO2
I must get more kilometres in. For various reasons, I haven't run nearly enough since September. Furthest I've been going is 5km I'm determined to get to 80 years old and still be pounding the lanes. Haven't done the full 42km since I was 69.

Oh dear, Grauniad. One typo is bad. To repeat it is inexcusable. Sack cloth and ashes for you. #TheGuardian #Cymru

Nice 10k on Saturday followed by flu vaccination. Couldn't move on Sunday.
Of course, after the vaccine, I'm autistic. But no more than I've always been.

The collapse on Friday of a high-profile terrorist prosecution could have been avoided if Scotland Yard had not put off a charging decision until what it believed was the last possible moment.

Kneecap: who’s to blame?
Why did police defer a terrorism charge until it was too late?

Managing a short but hilly run every morning this week. Only 2.4km but it's enough to keep me ticking over and leaves me with energy to do what I need to do during the day.

Very tough 7km run this morning but at least I can saw this. I was thinking of doing Parkrun and volunteering but where I lived before it was quite a clique so I've decided not to. I don't enjoy Parkrun particularly.

Am I the only person really irritated by instore musuc? Doesn't matter what it is. I can't think when it's on. I don't go in stores anymore, it's all online.

Back to running. Only 3k this morning

I've given up on my half marathon plan. My friend all dropped out with injury so I have pulled out too. I have an entry to give away now. To be honest, after so many decades running, it's a relief to just run for fun.

This morning's plod. Started cool. But ended warmer. Carried plenty of drink as I'm an old man who has to take things easy. And... Negative split!

Not so nice 5k this morning. Problem with Garmin watch (my fault) and some nagging tendon soreness.
