I genuinely don’t care if strangers do it, it only hurts because I thought this is a friend — well I thought we are friends, anyway. And I entrusted to them that it’s making me uncomfortable, because an artist had tried to sell Fal as an adoptable before.

Idek anymore, clearly nobody cares. People shout about being anti art theft until it actually happens. People act so protective about their own characters and then fully copy designs from people in their close friend circle as if it wouldn’t hurt them deeply if it had happened to them.

It’s a friend who was well aware that it affected me because I asked them to stop & fully admitted it and promised to stop and then just doubled down so I had no other choice than to quit talking to them. Pressuring won’t do anything, they’ll just dig for excuses.

This community is small. People know each other. People know not to fuck with stealing OCs because we are all attached to them so deeply. If this were a stranger, I'd just shrug it off, it wouldn't be the first time, but this is someone I considered a friend. And there's nothing I can do.

I'm so angry and shaking. I don't understand why I deserve this. I treat people with kindness. I was there for them during moments where they struggled, and this is how I'm being treated in return. I said I do not consent to them stealing and tracing from me, and they simply do not care.

Wasn't enough that I had someone trying to LITERALLY ruin my life last year, no, this year I was graced with a 'friend' who's currently trying to claim my style and my most precious OCs likeness as their own creation, and everyone is silent.

The absolute shamelessness some people have is beyond me.
