🌈 Closing out Side Quests Vol. 1 is Toad Socks. A reported pleasant sound has been coming from a pond in OKC metro...no one was found at the source except two lowly toads. Some say it sounded similar to Track 9, "Noytama/Nola" by Toad Socks, but me may never have an accurate report...

🌈 acid baptism is an electro-psych project based in OKC. Track 8 on Side Quests Vol. 1, acid baptism delivers wonderfully satisfying riffs and synth runs in "Late at Night." Sounding like something directly off of an Adult Swim bumper, this one is sure to bring you back to the days of late night TV.

🌈 Track 7 on Side Quests Vol. 1 comes from settling... As a solo bedroom project based out of OKC, settling... blends elements of goth and synth pop to create a distinctive sound. The track "Tied up" is a perfect representation of their style. We’re psyched to have it be a part of Side Quests!

🌈 Sweetest Pot is an instrumental artist based in OKC. Her music is a unique blend of moody melodies, glitched vocals, and expertly crafted sample chops that serve as a powerful reflection of her emotion and experiences. Track 6 on Side Quests Vol. 1, "Love Potions"

🌈 "Hobbyist," is a lifelong musician who writes, performs, records, and produces his own songs in Ableton. Track 5 on Side Quests Vol. 1, Unwilted Stutter adds an upbeat psychedelic touch. Hobbyist, is a heavy hitter and great addition to the comp!

🌈 Flawed me by Always Last takes Track 4 on Side Quests Vol. 1. Hailing from the middle of nowhere, Always Last is an energetic post hardcore band that keeps us wanting more with each release. Flawed me is filled with catchy lyrics and melodic power chords that feel fresh, yet super nostalgic.

🌈Track 3 on Side Quests comes to you from OKC rockers Idiot Mile. Drawing inspiration from 90s and early 2000s alt-rock; Idiot Mile forges a distinctive sound that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking. “Cursed” is one of their heaviest hitters and we’re definitely not complaining.

Next up on Side Quests Vol. 1 is Kitchen Slug! The self proclaimed snack time felons are an indie rock band from Tulsa, OK. Their newest track "benchmark," is a great showcase of their soft-rock/psych sound.

For the coming weeks we’ll be doing artist highlights for all the artists who helped create our first album Side Quests Vol. 1. This is Cryhard, an alternative / indie / shoegaze band from OKC who all helped form MCR after their debut album. Their song Sorcerer’s Tome starts off MCRs first release!

We now have music from @mysteryclass.bsky.social, featuring the label’s first comp, Side Quests V.1, and two Cryhard albums!

We’ll be slowly expanding our local music selection in the near future with new releases from Mystery Class and more, so watch this space!
