Not just creatively, but monetarily. They must have been stuck between a rock and a hard place. Since a large portion of their games were NSFW, we have to assume that most of their revenue came from NSFW content.

I fear that, without the nsfw stuff, itch is gonna suffer

Tumblr was never the same after they abandoned their nsfw content for a similar reason (at the time, the problem was apple deleting tumblr from their AppStore)

What I find the most interesting, however, is the fate of itch.io

Once morality is brought into the equation, then what is to stop the payment processors from declaring queer identity harmful? #gay

I fear that queer games are gonna be targeted next, for the simple fact of being queer #queer #indiegames
