I’m sorry you had to be deaf for a while! My husband’s rapidly losing his hearing and it’s way more affecting than people realize!

Also, though the accent Josh used wasn't a specific regional American accent (AFAIK, phonology was my worst subject), I completely believed it--subtly invoking a rougher idiolect in his past, and no matter how intense the scene was, he never reverted to British phonology AFAI could tell! amazeballs!

A Bad Thing happened to my ego/confidence and I’ve been dithering about writing as a result. But then my friend did a brilliant LinkedIn Whisperer routine on the offender and now I’m ready to dive back in!
