I lived in Kyiv for over a decade, and worked closely with NGOs working on the developing fledgling democracy. Before, I left Kyiv in 2009 I embarked on a writing project. This is about my about my personal experiences and the project.

So who are these two people? They're my paternal grandparents that I never met. They were in far off #Ukraine behind the Iron Curtain during the Cold War. Imagine how they felt when the Nazi's took their sons as slave labour to Germany.
