So my wife is a pediatrician and works in some hospitals with high vaccine and intervention hesitation (suburban ones). She has found *tremendous* success by just letting the families know she will have to document the higher risk of specific, and often fatal illness, in the chart of their child.

I was admittedly not one who posted much (or at all) on TikTok. But I felt like I had at least a little community on there. I don't think I'm going to return following this blatant political stunt though. No shade if you're going back, but I'd be wary if I were you. 🤷🏻♀️

I just lost access to TikTok. It’s 9:37pm Saturday. I didn’t get a chance to screenshot it because it disappeared too quickly, but there was a message about it being fortunate that incoming President Trump would be making a decision about it. This is going to be interesting. #tiktokban

It's a fair question.
Can someone explain why TikTok is a bigger national security concern than a social media platform run by a South African technofeudal oligarch actively interfering in our elections and sabotaging our national interests here and abroad?

I think nature intended for me to hibernate or something. I got plenty of sleep last night. I inhaled a HUGE cup of coffee this morning and am working on a second. It's a lovely, sunny, bitingly cold day. And all I can think about is going back to bed. The fact that I'm at work is an issue. 🥱

I use all 24 libraries in the system where I work, and any and every library that helps me with my genealogy research. Libraries rock.

I'm generally a pretty cautious social media user so the inability to set my account to private, and to remove followers I don't want there is a bit distressing.

So... question. How can I (or can I at all?) remove followers from my account? Does blocking them mean that they can still see anything I post but can't interact? Or can they not even see them? I know they still count as a follower.

I have recently started rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Wasn't sure why I was suddenly nostalgic about it. And then it struck me. Living on a Hellmouth is about to be relatable. Sigh.
