A French Army NH90 Caiman coming in to land at Hyeres naval base earlier this year. The French Army operate 63 of these, with an additional 18 special forces variants on order, which should start being delivered from next year.

The KAI T-50 Golden Eagle was also displayed at ADEX, both in the hands of the Black Eagles and this solo demonstration.

Another of the new types on display at ADEX 2025 - the KAI LAH-1 Miron. Developed from the Eurocopter EC155 and in agreement with Airbus Helicopters, KAI have sole manufacturing rights to the type. This is prototype 003.

First day of the 2025 ADEX public airshow in South Korea, it was also my first chance to see the new KAI KF-21. This aircraft is prototype 005, they also had the two seat 004 on static.

A Breguet Alizé on approach to Hyeres naval airbase. This is the last airworthy Alizé. The type served with the French Navy from 1959 until 2000 as an anti submarine and surface patrol aircraft.

The Finnish Air Force have operated the BAe Hawk for nearly 45 years, providing fast jet pilots with tactical flight training, before moving on to the Hornet. In 2007, their existing Hawk fleet was replenished with 18 low hour ex Swiss Air Force Mk.66 examples (HW-360 - HW-377).

Fantastic arrivals day at Hahnweide today. One of my personal highlights was seeing this Bf109 'Emil' in the air, this variant was at the forefront of the German invasions at the start of WW2.

Another of the Su-22 'Fitter' specials on display at the retirement event, this one shows both of the camo schemes worn by the jet since they entered service in 1984.

Headed to Poland for the Su-22 retirement event and they had one last surprise for us, this is the final special tail scheme which was unveiled at the event. After the crazy events of this morning, I was worried this event wouldn't go ahead!

To support the F-4 Phantoms at last year's RIAT, the Turkish Air Force sent over a KC-135 and one of their A400M Atlas's (seen here).

Along with the CC-177, the RCAF also sent their 100th anniversary special CF-188 Hornet to RIAT 24.

The Royal Canadian Air Force sent along one of their C-17 heavies to last year's RIAT. In service these are known as CC-177 Globemasters - the RCAF have their own unique numbering system.

One of two airworthy French Firecats in civilian ownership. These Grumman Trackers were originally built for the US Navy, before being converted to water bombers by Conair and were operated by the Securite Civile until 2020.

A further aircraft variant based on the Y-9 airframe is the KJ-500. This is China's primary AEW&C aircraft. Looking at the saucer, it looks like it has a traditional rotating rotordome radar, but is in fact fixed with 3 separate solid state AESA radars, each covering 120 degrees.

China's 'Rafale killer', or how it's been labeled - the Chengdu J-10C Měng Lóng. Reports suggest that many PL-15 missiles were fired at long range in this engagement, with possible mid course corrections provided by other assets. The J-10 may have just been the launch platform.

The Harbin Z-9F Haitun - originally Aerospatiale Dauphins that were built under license in the 80s and 90s. The license, however, has long since expired, but they're still being built and developed!
