In the end, I solved it. It kept missing the obvious fact we just needed to update `pip install .` to `pip install ./subdir` -- kind of crazy since the output made that pretty obvious. 3 AI defeated!

I don't think Gemini is going to show up Claude on this. I'm gonna have to step in and do actual work, thanks guys.

I'm already learning that Gemini basically speaks to itself. It replies directly to its own thoughts, referring to them as "you" :) cute little dissociative identity disorder

Claude does not do this.

... it's definitely giving engineer trying to fool their manager. Endpoints are not in fact working, Claude gave up again and wrote mock JavaScript endpoints that just use simple embeddings and did not implement foodbert.

I tasked Claude with implementing a foodbert model in a Python lambda and after spinning for a while trying to get it working, it gave up and came back with a big positive "success" message with bulletpoints and one small "what's not working: foodbert endpoints" note.
