Can you explain this, please? On Reddit you can see when they joined. I've looked, but on bsky all I can find is how many comments they've posted, which doesn't always correlate with time as a member. Thanks for any pointers.

I have a more controversial one (per Reddit anyway): Grapes of Wrath. I’m still angry I was forced to read it at 13. Steinbeck is tedious and loathsome. If I were talented, I’d compose a poem enumerating his flaws.

I’m sorry. Yeah I am high functioning autistic and seized on information other kids shrugged off. I’m old; this was many decades before “neurodivergence” was a concept. My poor mother. You had a rough go. All I can say is the usual: it gets better. Keep processing. ❤️🩹

This last bit should be blamed on religion. At age 8 I got depressed bc I knew I had to be a nun to make up for what a bad child I was, otherwise I’d go to hell. So yeah sounds like your family was fk’d up as mine, but the god part makes it all so much worse. Hugs.

You're breaking my heart! I adopted a TX street dog 3 years ago and she's starting to be ok walking past other dogs, if they stay 20-30 yards away. My cats know she wants to eat them, so they stay on their side of the gate. I really do hope Melia finds a home for Christmas. My SweetPea is my love.

You're breaking my heart! I adopted a TX street dog 3 years ago and she's starting to be ok walking past other dogs, if they stay 20-30 yards away. My cats know she wants to eat them, so they stay on their side of the gate. I really do hope Melia finds a home for Christmas. My SweetPea is my love.
TIL that hellebores are the same as Lenten Roses. I recognized the flower and immediately looked it up. Does the name differ by region? Mine blooms in spring, approximately during Lent. :)
