He won't drop anything until he's dead.
And I simply want to leave this terrible place.

Finished what I’m calling the Somnolence Node, a very sick sculpt I got from @n13e86.bsky.social

And, well, I was unable to try again because I keep dying to the knight right before.

The footprints don't tell me whether or not she is currently attacking me.

So, I got through most of the area (reached the exit, but decided to try the boss).
And it continues to be horrible.

For example, the runback to the boss includes a respawning enemy with extreme power and no vulnerabilities (immune to crits, breaks through shield, and hits for half your health).

I got to the boss fight.
I maintain the opinion that this entire area is filled with carefully distilled bullshit.
1. Very hard runback (I'm yet to try the boss fight again, keep dying on that bridge).
2. Complete invisibility.

Did they come with a tab regardless, or was it a puddle base?

Well, 3d printing does that.
And when people sculpt for resin casting, this is often the case.

You could approach this with reminders or schedule?
It's a somewhat important part of this process, when you look at it from professional perspective.

You could make a hashtag to mark either one of those things?
So that it becomes easier to search.

I think I've seen this very image in an ibuprofen commercial..

Congratulations on your excellent end of week.

I am making progress, but haven't noticed anything that rewards patience and planning.
So far, my most rewarded actions were "leaps of faith".
Jumping off a bridge in frustration.

There is a... "protect the billionaires" protest?!!

So far, the one and only combat encounter in Ariamis that I liked, was a fight with wheel skeletons in an underground room.

Weapon with Divine attachment.
One such weapon is available early on.
However, its damage is a bit low and I had to focus on finding necromancers instead.

In Catacombs, it is dependent on presence of specific non-respawning enemies.
In Blighttown, only flies do that and that's annoying as hell.
February 16, 2026 at 4:53 PM
What do you mean.. "stay dead"?
February 16, 2026 at 4:45 PM
The bow, in my case, does 10-25 damage on average.
And the harpy has 950.

That's another problem unique to this area: there are no merchants around, so relying on consumables might not be available.
In this regard, it resembles New Londo encounter design - where you have to use a specific consumable to enable fighting, and this consumable is nowhere to be found.

Quite a few enemies in this area inflict toxic both as an optional attack and on death.
And there are no sources of anti-toxic moss around here, so you're stuck slowly dying while looking for a way forward.

And then there's harpies with boss levels of health and a GRAB ATTACK.
February 16, 2026 at 4:29 PM
And the enemies?
I already hate it here, and I've been here for less than an hour.

For the first time in this whole playthrough, I ran out of 10 estus flasks. And had to homeward bone back, because there was no end in sight.

It is a maze filled with dangerous enemies. There is nowhere to run past to.
February 16, 2026 at 4:03 PM
I don't think my problem is that.
It's just that certain mechanics are -really- not fun to interact with. And here, there's nothing else.
For example, the crow harpies:
- extremely high health
- no obvious weaknesses
- grab attack (what do you even do with it)
