It started at the American Revolution. We have a long history of objecting to this, as well as the myth of self-sufficiency. We demand a government serving the people, even if some don’t recognize socialism for what it is. If we don’t get what we pay for, withholding seems perfectly reasonable.

That sucks. Been there. Pack it in rice with some silica gel next to the viewfinder for a week or two.

Here’s something re: waist size and Type 2. www.diabetes.org.uk/about-diabet... The correlation came about from a study 10+ years ago.
Diabetes risk and waist measurement
You might be wondering what waist measurement has to do with your risk of type 2 diabetes. Or what a healthy waist size is. Well, on this page we will explain why it is so important. Our video with Ro...

BMI is a garbage metric for all the things it doesn’t consider. Never mind it was originally developed nearly 200 years ago! Other metrics may indicate risks for specific disease. Waist circumference, regardless of BMI, is strongly and independently linked to diabetes type two risk, for example.

Oh yes, sorry for that nerd lingo. The other operator needed to make a verified contact with a station in AK for an award called Worked All States. She’d been waiting for years.

I was really tickled by the W2BX QSO. Glenn is a big QRPer, and I like the challenge to hear the low-power stations from my QTH in the far north. He was using 1W and peaked 529! For fun I dropped power from 150W to 8W, and he heard me, poorly, but still…SKCC makes for a lot of fun opportunities.

Yes but TX might draw down the supply enough to not support transmitting. If you’re using a bench supply with meters, it’s easy to see changes when you key. Ya never know with a USB power connection.

Check the power supply and cable, too, especially if you were powering from USB.

Bummer. At those power levels it’s unlikely you would smell smoke or see anything spark. I suppose it’s possible the SWR spiked somehow. Loose connection, something falling onto the dipole.

I saved money from a summer job in 1977 to buy one. Loved that radio. Cost $300 as I recall. I eventually added an outboard digital frequency display.
