The last few years have seen the largest wave of immigration in American history. All those images we carry in our heads about people arriving at Ellis Island — we just surpassed that. Crime went down. Real wages went up. This is a fake problem. Enough is enough.

These are not serious journalistic institutions and have not been for a while now. Pointing at absurdly fash headlines from these places and going "What the fuck, New York Times!?" still engages with the framing that they are legitimate institutions acting naively and not with knowing intent.
