I dreamt that Fernando Botero came to me with a package. And when he opened it, inside was the stinkiest, most hideous little sculpture that mankind had ever seen.

What sets a dream apart from reality is that the one who dreams cannot make art for his hands remain asleep.

Now I have made enough card sets to be able to display all at once on a post! So these are all the Marseilles Tarot cards I have made for my deck so far!

#art #furryart #furry #anthro #tarot
Card 0 of the Tarot's Major Arcana, Le Fol (The Fool). It is inspired by the Tarot of Marseilles and it shows an anthro fox dressed as a beggar, walking carelessly through the countryside First four cards of the tarot's Major Arcana, inspired by the Tarot of Marseilles.

Number one is The Juggler or Magician (Le Bateleur), it shows an anthro hyena in front of a table with items related to the suits of the Minor Arcana (cups, coins and knives replacing swords). He is holding a wand, as a symbol of the fourth suit, the club. His hat can be though as a representation of the infinity symbol.

Number two represents The Popess or High Priestess (La Pances). She is an anthro barn owl, wearing a papal crown and dress in red and blue gowns. She is holding an open book.

The third card is The Empress (Le Imperatris). She is an anthro rabbit, wearing a royal crown and clothes, as well as an scepter and a shield displaying a heraldry rabbit.

The fourth and final card is The Emperor (Le Empereur). He is an anthro ram, imagery reinforced by the Aries symbol and the heraldry ram in a shield besides him. He is wearing royal clothes, as well as an scepter. His horns are golden yellow in representation of his crown. Four cards of the tarot's Major Arcana, inspired by the Tarot of Marseilles.

The first card is The Pope or Hierophant (Le Pape), it depicts an anthro bull dressed with papal regalia, holding a tiered papal crown and a triple cross. He is sitting besides two pillars. Two anthro sheep are worshipping him.

The second card is The Lovers (L'Amoureu). Two anthro doves/pigeons are receiving a blessing from an anthro rooster. A dove is flying over them, surrounded by light.

The fourth card represents The Chariot (Le Charior). An anthro white deer sits in a chariot without reins, pulled by two deer.

The fourth and final card is Justice (Iustice). An anthro crane, representing Justice, is holding a scale on their left talon, and a sword on the right one. Four cards of the tarot's Major Arcana, inspired by the Tarot of Marseilles.

The first card is The Hermit (L'Ermite), it shows an anthro turtle, wearing robes and holding a cane and a lantern. A magpie is resting on his shell.

The second card shows Strength (Force). An anthro mouse is quietly resting besides a lion. Both seem peaceful, but alert.

The third card depicts The Hanged Man (Le Pendu). An anthro cobra is hanged upside down from a post holded by two living trees.

The final card is Death (Unlabeled). The skeleton of an anthro vulture is depicted as the grim reaper, holding a scythe. The ground is dark, covered in grass, bones and two skulls wearing crowns, one of a rabbit, and the other from a ram.

What most of us lack in order to be artists is not the inceptive emotion, nor yet merely technical skill in execution. It is capacity to work a vague idea and emotion over into terms of some definite medium.

Well, despite everything I managed to make at least one drawing per month 🫣

I wish you all the best in this new year.
