21) Tennis - Face Down in the Garden

In my personal opinion, this is their best and most accomplished album. Talk about ending on a high note.

22) Hatchie - Liquorice

Now talk about a grower, this had a muted first reception but everyone I know is totally coming around to it now. She listened to a lot of Cocteau Twins, I mean she did for her other albums, but even more here.

23) Juana Rozas - Tanya

I had never heard of her until a friend recommended to me! She's very inspired by Garbage and there's a lot of good grungy pop rock, but then, there's a ton of nice loud industrial pop moments too. I seriously recommend and think this album has wide appeal.

24) FKA Twigs - Eusexua

Eusexua is half Ray of Light/90s electronic pop inspired, and then the rest of pretty much just Twigs doing normal Twigs things, which is still, very good. We'll ignore that last song. Some of her best vocal performances are on this album.

25) Wolf Alice - The Clearing

I was never a fan of them before this to be honest but the 70s soft pop with a flair for drama really fits the singer's vocals well. I'm definitely sold on them now.

26) Gelli Haha - Switcheroo

Speaking of synth pop, if you love obnoxious quirky indie pop synth pop type of music you have to try this. It's just as grating as the album cover would have you believe (compliment).

27) Nourished by Time - The Passionate Ones

I love pretty much anything 80s, synth pop, etc so I loved his new direction and the songs are so catchy I end up listening to the album twice every time I listen.

28) Lily Allen - West End Girl

Who would have imagined she'd make a comeback with one of the best albums of the year, and the emotional centerpiece would be Pussy Palace? Well, I guess that shows that I should never write off artists, this is a great storytelling moment thats honest above all else.

29) Little Simz - Lotus

I really enjoy that she took a post punk direction and committed fully. The best moments are when she goes fully in that direction, but she's a really good rapper and lyricist so even the slow ballads kind of work.

30) Oklou - Choke Enough

After what felt like years of waiting Oklou delivered her... debut album? It's a great ambient pop album with good blissful moments and good catchy electropop moments.

Maybe I’m totally off base but 17th best electronic track of the millennium so far… isn’t this a rock song?

It was unfortunately too quirky for many people

One of the most underrated and unappreciated albums ever

31) Cabiria - Radio Coral

Cabiria officially cemented herself as the modern Italo Disco queen with this album.

32) Nick Leon - A Tropical Entropy

Thanks Erika for getting me to listen to this album! It sounds exactly like the album cover looks, dreamy, beautiful, trippy.

33) Debby Friday - The Starr of the Queen of Life

Debby is one of the most underrated artists out there today and I really wish people gave her more kudos, she's an experimental hip hop artist who has done just about every one of my favorite genres, and this is her most club-ready release.

34) Alison Goldfrapp - Flux

Did she just release an album that felt like rejects from her previous release? Yes. Did I eat it up? well, YES!

35) Stereolab - Instant Holograms on Metal Film

They have returned! And they are doing the same sound they always have, just as good as they always have. I imagine long time fans must feel so fed, but I'm a new fan (last 2 years) so the shock of them releasing didn't land as hard.

36) Chase Icon - Icon Baby

She has a really good ear for beats and sounds that fit her better-than-you speaking rapping thing she has going on. Really funny lyrics too, very terminally online queer core stuff but its like the top tier of that.

37) keiyaA - hooke's law

I love this sort of stream of consciousness delivery she has but this time she evolved leaps and bounds from her last lp, she's firing at all cylinders and i find myself remembering her hooks way more than her last project so her songwriting chops have def improved.

38) George Riley - More is More

OK first of all this album cover is so crazy, what was she thinking? Luckily, the music is really good. It's for lovers of 2000s UK pop, but there's also a modern electronic R&B element to it as well, she checks both boxes for me.
