I have a whole furious rant about some what some recent games’s proposed fantasies really are despite wearing a progressive coat

but if I speak I am in trouble

Genuinely I think she (very cleverly) went to Reddit with the belief that most people agree with her and Twitter is just overly loud. A lot of the replies fall into line perfectly so it’s like she has a whole thread to point to and be like “see?”

Are there actual Palestinians in the superman film or is it mostly a vague gesture, I have not seen it and cannot imagine it non-cynically

I guess I want to add for context that I used to be a fan actually. Some of those early videos were very personally helpful to me, which is part of why this hurts so much. However, I won’t waste energy on mourning this - ultimately, it’s not my fault that the creators I trusted weren’t who I thought

It confounds me because I truly believe our liberations are interconnected. As someone not in Gaza, what possible doom or resentment do you have a right to feel to this situation?

It is genuinely tragic to me that white marginalized individuals keep showing time and time again that they champion the rights of and can comprehend, in theory, the issues of almost every other intersectionality except when you’re Palestinian. I can see your humanity and you can’t see mine

If Palestinians or our issues make you uncomfortable you are simply a racist and don’t have space in any kind of “radical” politic. Go be Jake tapper or something.

“Palestinians being alive and upset at being annihilated are ruining the vibes…maybe if they died quietly I can go back to the good old days when I didn’t have to feel complicit or had. Maybe they deserve it for bothering me?” - ultimately the argument Contrapoints and her supporters are making here

Very much also understand how the absolute overwhelming majority of breadtube failing the Palestine morality test can create such feelings of betrayal and disappointment. At this point I’d argue we’re ready to leave the “breadtube” as a good moral signifier behind

I think that’s fair, love Shaun ❤️

When you do CIA-levels of destroying revolutionary morale but with good lighting 💜✨ slay

Contrapoints comments on leftists picking up another “lost cause” in the case of Palestine is so disgusting that I’m starting to understand why she spotlights so many hours on the concept of leftist infighting…it’s all just aesthetic tone policing at the end of the day. Delete ur channel please

Thank you for speaking up on this. Very much needed in the sea of silent cowardice

That book is waiting for whenever you’re landed, settled, and ready ❤️

Kind of a joke kind of not. I’ve been watching the HThree thing unfolding and have been thinking about it since 2016. I kind of want to write about it, especially in the terms of what it was like from the Palestinian lens, how it mirrors everything honestly. Is this of interest, or is it over?

Thank you so much for the thoughtful and thorough words, I really appreciate it :)

At 3pm on 9 February 2025, booksellers Mahmoud and Ahmad Muna were accosted by undercover Israeli police. They were arrested at the Educational Bookshop, handcuffed and taken to prison. Over 250 books were confiscated.
