I may consider this for future. Right now, our kitchen sink has been unusable for a couple days and I just want it working again.

The rest of the drainage in the house is thankfully doing fine. It's literally just the kitchen sink. Washer, bathroom, dog grooming tub are all ok.

Seems like it's years of buildup. Greasy, gross, black sludge. I've already put like 3 hours into trying to clear it but I think it's time I throw in the towel and ask a professional to come take a look. I just don't have the equipment or experience to deal with this.
