The UL that beat JMU was 7-1 with a win over #2 Miami and an OT loss to ranked UVA, then lost their #1 RB and finished 1-3, so now they’re “8-4 Louisville”. Also if you watched that game it “felt” a lot closer than 14 points in the same way that last night “felt” like a more than a 17-points loss.

and that’s fine, watch what you want to watch! But imo you are missing out on most of the best “this is why we love sports” stories every year if you only watch the “top 30” teams.

A closed group of 30 teams with NFL level talent is something that already exists! If you just want that without the underdog stories, David vs Goliaths, and watching players and teams develop, just watch the NFL! The college game is great because of Tulane, JMU, Indiana, Boise, … not just ND vs OSU

Or comparing that UL team to the current UL team losing 3 in a row without their #1 RB! I think Tulane, UNT, and JMU all have about equivalent resumes, but the loudest UNT folks in particular have lost their minds.
