Tomorrow I begin my term as Head of the Department of Political Studies at Bar-Ilan University. Grateful to Jonathan Rynhold, the outgoing chair, for his dedicated service. Looking forward to a fascinating and challenging term ahead, and to working together with our outstanding faculty and staff.
Pleased to share that 'Empirical Political Theory: A Methodological Framework', by yours truly, is forthcoming with Oxford University Press, with publication planned for spring 2026. I am grateful to the friends who made this possible, and to the ECPR Group on Methods of Normative Political Theory.
but will choose a specific chapter according to her/his interests; do I repeat the noted preliminaries, or risk misunderstandings? I choose a brief repetition where necessary, but keep wondering whether this is the correct choice...

page by page, slowly but consistently 'Empirical political theory, a methodological framework' by yours truly and under contract with OUP, is being completed. I now have something like/more or less/ the full manuscript. A lot of work still to be done, but I can see the ending...hopefully...sort of..
Needed to merge several different bibliographic lists into one, delete redundancies, arrange alphabetically, and consistently arrange according to APA. A tedious task. Claude did it in 30 seconds.
congrats! will get cited today!
