I just kinda celebrate the event by reflecting on the cool stuff I played for the year and hope to see potentially cool reveals for the future.

Ironically the awards part mean pretty much nothing to me.

I feel this so much ;_; peeps can be too eager to talk about spoilers in games just because they arent new.

Its crazy, I remember seeing the Halo 3 reveal, and even my parents who dont care for video games at all, still knew how big a deal it was and thought it was so cool.

Now its gotten to the point where we barely care about a new announcement

A bit sad really, but it is what it is.

I think seeing big new releases being talked about on social media also contributes to FOMO and makes people feel like they need to buy more games

I agree! I find it super charming too ^^ def one of my fav parts of the game! That and the amazing music of course
