But even if we were to take seriously the outlandish idea of Canada becoming part of the U.S., it would not make sense for it to be the "51st state". It would be several states. E.g. BC, Alberta, Saskatoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantica. 6 new blue states? (ok, maybe 5). Yay!
