After more than a year of weekly writing via zoom, Tiffany Momon, Jill DiMassimo and I met in person. Made the writing retreat we needed for ourselves.
Lots of writing plus good food, bookstores, craft, walks, gardens, and a play.
Made project progress and saw PDX thru freshly delighted eyes.

Sharon and Nicole, my traveling friend, agreed the Tana French works. Sharon insisted I need something that isn’t serious. Just fun. Borrowed Horrorstor from Alexa. Adding one poetry book about wandering. Maybe this is it?

What do you pack to read on a real beach trip? My first ever as an adult. Lolling and regenerating is the goal. Raided my shelves for possible books. This first stack was nixed by @sharondenning.bsky.social. Too serious, too many. I wasn’t going to take them all, I whined. She didn’t believe me.

Japanese garden in Portland is full of winter blue greens. Softer blues fall back in spring, summer, and fall. This was the piece that spoke to me the most at the kintsugi exhibition.

Here is the stack. Han Kang’s The Vegetarian and the two ACC books are for something else. Would add 39 Microlectures in Proximity of Performance by Matthew Goulish to it.
