I’ve been shouting into the void about this for years, but I guess when big money and lack of thought drive decisions more, then this is what you get.

to not just let go of things it no longer cares about but can still make them profit (like Nintendo). Dota Underlord, Artifact, Artifact 2, many different popular offshoot modes of both CSGO and Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 updates, the Valve Index, Day of Defeat, Steam Controller. (3/x)

and is slowly pulling support to the pint where it will die for good. And when I say ‘dead’ I mean less like Team Fortress 2 and more like Artifact.
