Was interesting to finish now with the knowledge that Tomino put the adaptation on blast, while Yuasa casually expressed his enjoyment of it. I'm much closer to the latter camp but I also understand the former - it's a story about not compromising with compromised delivery. But in the end, effective

This week's Kusuriya was storyboarded by the underappreciated legend Naohito Takahashi. Director of To Heart, Figure 17, Berserk, mentor of people as renowned & wide-ranging as Kazuya Tsurumaki and Makeine's brilliant Shotaro Kitamura. Takahashi retired last year so it might be his last contribution
