My niece's husband passed away last night. He was just 42 and leaves 2 young daughters. My heart just breaks for them.

A fellow trainee is just something else. Odd and very particular. And doesn't use email/word to their advantage (hates copy/paste??? who hates copy/paste??). I'd really like it if they stopped commenting with their very specific and unhelpful takes.

When I expressed misgivings re the reading proficiency of most people, a fellow trainee that reading was not pushed in school, and she's never read a book cover to cover. How are either of those things even possible??

I plowed through Catherine House this week and kinda wish I hadn't. The one star Amazon reviews gave me life, though. Endless descriptions of college shenanigans that are more like high school shenanigans and a ghost of a plot. The ending was negative space.

Starting a new position this week. Can't get over how many people are late to mandatory training sessions. Someone yesterday got huffy when we went 5-10 minutes past 5pm to finish a brief video. This session is at least 40 min behind > late arrivals who can't log on.

This week has just been unbelievable. I've lost (like, in two different restaurants in two different cities) my cell phone, my spare car key, and a notebook with a few personal things inside. All thankfully recovered, but the cardiac moments I've survived; do not recommend.
