He wants a "Crusade", no? He's opposed to women in military because they correlate with soldiers having self-control, a thing he lacks. But a soldier with self-control will always defeat one without it (all other things being equal), no?

Or get rid of legal, taxation, benefit structures that penalize 2-earner/2-parent families so that more of them who want to have children can? (2E/2P means the father meets the mother halfway on unpaid work of the family; and mother provides half of basic financial provision).

The Trump Admin disregards all UN things so they aren't making that argument, however, from the standpoint of recognizing children as dependents with needs, the UN-C-RoC view is much better at protecting their welfare than "birthright" which is really a fantasy of children functioning like adults?

I think what's more relevant is: (a) the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (children are the responsibility of both parents and their citizenship derives from the parents, as a child welfare protection measure) and (b) the fact paternity of infants is now determinable to a legal certainty?

I was so frustrated during his confirmation process that I didn't see anyone in media or in Congress pointing out that his bashing of women soldiers isn't about them (or their not having male-equiv upper body strength) but about his own incompetency, particularly his own lack of self-control.

It's part of a general problem in economics. Women are relegated to "care economy" issues. They aren't able to call out obvious fallacies in things like Gary Becker's "New Home Economics" without risking career. It's an "alt-truth" problem where economic science is not being done on firm ground.

This kind of "alt-truth" in economics, one where topics (and math!) central to economic innovation, productivity, efficiency, and growth are taboo, hurts all of us and prevents problem-solving.
