I planted two cherry trees in 2020. Delighted but a bit overwhelmed by this year’s harvest. This is about five pounds, picked today, roughly tripling the haul so far.
I will point out that five pounds is a LOT of pitting to look forward (??!) to.

Even though old people are often allowed to tell the same story over and over, I will not permit myself to tell you again about the deep snow in Hardwick and Greensboro on the very first Earth Day.

Amidst all the higher priority projects, I’ve accidentally started a new use-up-the-leftovers afghan.
Yes, there is a lot of leftover red. Enough for some hats. But for the moment I’m tired of making hats.

I was apparently unimpressed with the community Good Friday service (mid 1970s) described on the other side. It was sentimental hymns and predictable sermons on Last Words.

I’m obsessed with this recipe.
Applesauce spice cake baked in two small Bundt pans so that I can give one away. Otherwise I’d eat it all myself.
I’ll glaze one with caramel.
Also delicious with applesauce. Or whipped cream.
