Today’s project is Panther’s dog toys giveaway. I put this sign on top of a big plastic bin, then set the box where folks walking their dogs will see it.

True. Panther is my 2nd greyhound to live with me here. She had lots of fans, too!

People who live nearby are still hearing or figuring out that Panther has died. They say, “We knew something was wrong when we didn’t see the 2 of you out walking together.” Then there are tears in their eyes—and in mine. I’m reminded that together we were part of the neighborhood’s fabric.

I hope so, too. I’m not sure what to believe about Heaven, but it’s a comforting construct for sure. It’s funny to imagine my 3 past hounds comparing notes about life with me!
