The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson - 3.5⭐️
Loved the premise of the book and the prose is lovely, but it didn't feel as scary as I had hoped (bar a few moments) and the ending left me wanting more. Overall, a solid fast classic read to pick up during the spooky season.

As Good as Dead by Holly Jackson - 4⭐️
What an ending to a very beloved trilogy. I understand why opinions are split on this ending, but I did enjoy it for what it was. Absolutely blew thru the majority of the book, since the stakes were so very high. Recommend the whole AGGGTM trilogy 👌
