fastest way to depict a human is sad is drawing them with a frown woooow so much effort. meanwhile i like my mental gymnastic of how do i convey a heavier emotion with a machine with no visible facial feature. i love playing with light and shadows and colors and composition to reach the effect

its just so boring.... i keep seeing drawing humans as an easy way out of a viewer to easily connect or emphasize with the subject if it looks like them. do we not do that with animals and all sorts of inanimate objects. the latter is far more interesting and fun to me
