This marks a huge milestone towards long-term sustainability for napari and its plugin ecosystem — and we’re just getting started. Over the next few months we'll be updating the visual design, adding more searching and filtering options, re-enabling Zulip updates, and so much more!
napari.fosstodon.org.ap.brid.gy
The plugin listing is updated four times a day, so you shouldn't have to wait long to see your new plugin🧩 . And (it goes without saying), it's open-source! If you notice any errors with your plugin's information, please open an issue on the GitHub repo (github.com/napari/hub-lite).
napari.fosstodon.org.ap.brid.gy
The hub is now deployed statically via gh-pages, using data stored and served via npe2api🧑‍💻 🌐 . Not only is this a simpler and more lightweight implementation to maintain, but it's significantly faster too🔥!
napari.fosstodon.org.ap.brid.gy
We’ve taken over development and maintenance, using the visual design of the original -- thank you to the CZI team for building and maintaining the hub over the last four years, and to Yunha Lee for creating the prototype of the new site.
napari.fosstodon.org.ap.brid.gy
🚀 Big news! The napari hub has been reimplemented and is now community-run! :tada: It's still the go-to place for finding and sharing napari plugins, but the website is now snappier and lighter-weight. Check it out 👉 www.napari-hub.org

🚀 The napari team is excited to announce our brand new development roadmap — a community-informed vision for the future of napari. We’re laying the foundation for long-term sustainability, better docs, smoother releases, and exciting new features.

@czaki has made huge improvements to the Shapes layer, supported by a CZI grant to the Spatial Data team. We've launched a *fast* triangulation library written in Rust (called bermuda 😉), making Shapes up to 200x faster! Read more: https://napari.org/stable/guides/triangulation.html

Axis praxis! You can now point the depth, vertical, and horizontal axes any which way! We've fixed the handedness of the 3D view — DNA helices are again right-handed 😅, and if you have map data you can make latitude point north. Check out our new guide! […]

BIG change since 0.6.0a1, the culmination of months of work: we've made major improvements to triangulation (splitting polygons into triangles for drawing on the GPU), resulting in up to 200x while improving accuracy. We can now accurately draw South Africa with its enclave Lesotho.
