Thanks - yes, I'd heard of no-dig. It's just plucking up the courage to try it! Maybe next season I'll start small in a corner and see how it goes👍

This could be massive for allotment holders too. I tend to dig and manure my plot because time to try other methods is limited and I know this approach 'works'. But to be able to do a few simple measurements on my phone which let me take a less invasive approach with confidence... very interesting!

Carbon capture might have been a nice-to-try 20 years ago, but surely the window for such experiments has now closed. We urgently need to put our remaining time, energy and resources into projects that have a decent chance of success

I remember when the Daily Mail (who now own the TG) lifted wholesale (including a typo) a piece from @sciencefocus.bsky.social without asking. Never got a penny back from them, or an apology
